Sunset Serenaders recreates the sound, style, and spirit of a bygone era – live and unforgettable.
We play the music that thrived during the American era of prohibition: Music from talkies, Broadway shows and scratchy blues 78 records.
Think HBO:s Boardwalk Empire and you get the picture! When we enter the stage you can expect tight vocal harmonies wrapped in a sweet mix of steel guitar, arch-top guitar and upright bass (the same lineup as Al Capone' s house trio by the way).
This was a time when groovy, warm and frisky "Prohibition Pop" was born. Despite a time of unemployment, financial chaos, bootleg booze and gangsters, this heralded the birth of elated, romantic party music!
